Two small red horns jutting from her forehead, black feathered wings sprouting from her back, and a three foot long tail the same ruddy tone as her skin mark Vanessa as a tiefling. Her luxurious jet black hair falls to shoulder length, and her eyes are mismatched green and violet. Athletically built and quite busty, with wide hips, Vanessa’s wardrobe consists entirely of dove grey dresses cut so as not to restrict either her wings or tail yet still relatively modest in the front.
Vanessa’s mother is a paladin of Iomedae and the daughter of a Brevic lord. Though her mother was filled with righteousness when she departed for Mendev to fight the demons which spill ever forth from the Worldwound, she was a humbled woman when she returned to her father’s keep, several months pregnant. Though the whole household was shocked when Vanessa was born, her fiendish heritage unmistakable, her mother seemed entirely unsurprised. As the granddaughter of a minor baron, Vanessa escaped being left to die in the woods, instead being shipped off to a boarding school run by an order of paladins where she could remain out of sight and mind.
Vanessa has not seen her family in many years, but her tutelage at the boarding school is finally complete and not a single lord or lady seems interested in hiring her.
